Dear [ Decision Maker ] ,

Like Americans across the country, I treasure our coasts and beaches. They provide endless opportunities for recreation, contribute a great deal to our economy, and are home to a wide array of wildlife. Our coasts are truly a part of our natural heritage, and they must be protected for future generations. Unfortunately, our coasts are threatened by offshore drilling proposals.

I urge you to oppose S. 2253, the extreme bill to drill off Florida's coast, and to do everything in your power to stop this bill from passing the Senate. In addition, I urge you to oppose other efforts to increase offshore drilling. Instead, I hope you will support real solutions to our energy problems like making cars go further on a gallon of gas and enacting a federal renewable energy standard. Thank you for your consideration, and I look forward to hearing from you on this important matter.
